So – about 4 days later I felt like I had enough wall pieces (and a sweet busted-up bridge) to start cutting foam and placing the general layout. Here I just used a hacksaw to cut through the insulation foam to make my ‘landing’ portions and start to carve out a canal down the middle of the table. Eventually – there will be a shipwreck and some assorted cobbled walkways and docks to make the middle canal area fully accessible and playable. It was about here that I started to realize this build may be crossing over into ‘full blown rip-off’ territory, instead of just being inspired by Lybbans – so if you’re reading this – I hope you take it as a compliment, because it is certainly meant to be taken that way!
